Hello world! I'm Luca Barney (Jr.)! I was born on April 14th, 2009. At 9:08pm, I weighed 8.4 lbs and was 20.5 inches long.
Since then, I've lost some weight, but my "primary care provider" tells me that that's nothing to concern myself about. Speaking about my doctor...I visited him for the first time yesterday. His name is Mr. Snead, MD, but he goes by "Doctor Snead". He's very concerned about my health, which my parents seem to like. Overall, he's a very likable person...and he's not too serious. My dad seems to particularly appreciate his sense of humor. When Dr. Snead was listening to my heart for the first time, he took an exceptionally long time to listen. He even changed positions and closed his eyes for a while. After what seemed like an eternity for my parents, he opened his eyes and said, "everything's fine...I just like to make it dramatic."

On the way to Dr. Snead's office, I kept hearing my parents use words like "prodigy", "brilliant", and "perfect"; but during my first exam, I heard Dr. Snead use words and phrases like "normal", "average", "typical", and "nothing to worry about". Since I've known my parents 3 days longer than Dr. Snead, I trust their judgement a little more. (On the way home, my dad informed me that they misdiagnosed my cousin too.)

Last night was much better night for me. I'm not sure if I was more tired, or if I was getting more milk from my mom, but I slept for hours when I wasn't snacking...look at my picture! Mom got some much-needed sleep and dad...well, he got plenty of sleep during his afternoon "riposo", but he seemed to sleep just fine last night.

Mom pumped some extra milk for the first time this morning. Dr. Snead recommended this to ensure that I'm getting enough nourishment.
That's all for now. Thanks to everyone who's been asking about my health...I really feel loved! LBJ
